This
Pendarra 2264/03
son has caught the eye of some good judges and performed well
in the feed conversion trial. Out of a very good Leahcim
85 ewe, this young sire will provide the next breeding
phase for our 2264 line. A very alert and well put together ram
with great muscling. |

Here
he is!
This
ram is the young sire that finished on top of the feed conversion
trial. A son of Pendarra 3050/04,
I doubt we have ever seen a ram with this amount of muscle. This
ram is so...ooo thick and deep, he will be used selectively in
next years joining. Despite his thick frame, he is a very smooth
ram and is very mobile and alert. There is something special about
this very different young sire and time will tell just where his
genetics take the breed.
Could he be the +5 for muscle we have been looking for, he definitely
looks like it?

This
young sire is all class and has been retained to provide an outcross
and for use as a special purpose sire. A grandson of the very
high muscle sire, Warburn 20/02,
this ram has a great smooth carcase, good suffolk type with a
silky covering, and a great pedigree being out of a Detpa
Grove 100/99, "Supreme", daughter. This
stylish young sire that is very correct in all areas is one we
will watch with interest.

This
young sire is from the Anna
Villa 119/99 line and has great hindquarter muscling
on a substantial frame. Sired by an impressive ram lamb that we
showed with some success last year, this bloke is one of our top
picks from the 2005 selection and will get plenty of use next
year. He is very clean and has a great smooth carcase shape, we
are looking forward to progeny from this young sire as he promises
to be a very safe sire to use.

Sonning
331/02
has produced plenty of outstanding progeny over the last few years
within the White Suffolk breed and this bloke could be one of
the best. A very interesting cross from a Penrise
1/00, "1 O'Clock" daughter, this massive
ram has plenty of style and bone supporting a great carcase. He
also finished in the top group on feed efficiency so will be an
interesting sire to watch. One of our favourite sires from the
2005 selection.

Another
Sonning 331 son that
is a total outcross on the ewe side for our breeding program.
From a Leahcim ewe that has produced plenty of good progeny, this
young bloke has sire strength written all over him. A sire with
an outstanding muscle pattern on a large frame, he has always
been a standout in the 2005 drop lambs.

Anden
83/02 has been a sire that has been used with great success at
Pendarra. This is just another good example of the type of sheep
he has produced. A great muscle sheep with great commercial suitability,
this fella is a different cross for us being from a very smart
Penrise sired ewe. Pendarra 3050/04
has been an outstanding sire for us, this slightly different Anden
83/02 son promises the same.

Linden
4878/03 performed exceptionally well on feed conversion and we
have been watching this young sire for some time. A great carcase
sheep with excellent type, this sire finished near the top on
feed conversion and has exceptional muscling. from a ewe out of
our Yundara line, there is plenty of thickness and muscling on
both sides of the pedigree.

An
outstanding ram lamb that was used over ewe lambs this year and
already has some impressive lambs on the ground. Showed a lot
of promise early and has been kept as a backup ram. From one of
the best ewes in the stud, this sire has good bone and carcase
and has proven to be a very safe choice when used over ewe lambs.
A Mount Ronan 572/03
son, this could be a sire line that gets plenty of use.

Look
Out!
This
bloke is all muscle on a huge frame. The best of our Mount
Ronan 572/03 sons, this sire carries a huge carcase
with smooth shape and bone. He, along with 3901/05, has been outstanding
since day 1 and this line of breeding seem to have the do ability
that we look for at Pendarra. This sire also provides a complete
new line of breeding for us being from a Wesswood ewe which tracks
back to Burwood "Titan". He is one of the top 4 from
our 2005 selection and will get plenty of exercise. |
